All bookings are provisional until all payments have been received. We do require a £150 deposit per week paid at the time of booking. The balance will be payable 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. If you book your holiday within 8 weeks of arrival the full amount will be due at the time of booking.
We accept BACS payments.
We recommend that you take out insurance cover for your holiday to cover for any unforeseen circumstances. Telephone us immediately if you need to cancel a booking and on the same day send us an email or write confirming the cancellation. Your cancellation will be effective from the date we acknowledge receipt of your written cancellation. If you cancel the following charges will be payable by you to us. Cancelled more than 8 weeks before your arrival date: Loss of deposit. Cancelled within 8 weeks of arrival date: Loss of 100% of tariff, unless we manage to secure another booking in which a partial or full repayment will be given.
Our check-in time is 4pm on the day of arrival (however by prior arrangement it may be possible to check in earlier). We should be grateful if you would let us know your time of arrival after 4pm so that we may ensure someone is here to greet you. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure.
Gas, electricity and firewood are included in the price.
The lodge should be left as it was upon arrival. All appliances should be wiped down, food removed from the fridge and freezers and all internal bins emptied. Any issues of cleanliness or damages must be reported to us immediately. Guests will be liable for any cleaning charges incurred in the event that the property is left in a dirty condition.
We have a No Smoking policy in the lodge.
One dog is permitted in the lodge. However, this must be agreed at the time of booking and there is a charge of £25. You are welcome to walk your dog around the wood near the lodge and in the lodge garden. Please ensure all dog waste is bagged and disposed of in the bin. You are responsible for your dog at all times and the dog must NOT be left unattended in the lodge.
Dogs must not be given access to the bedrooms nor allowed onto furniture. Please bring your own dog towels and bedding. On departure we ask all clients to ensure the property is aired and dog hairs hoovered up and the property is left as they found it.
We reserve the right to ask any guest to remove their dog should they prove to be a nuisance or to have caused damage to the property. All damage must be paid for by you.
All registered guide dogs are welcome.
Whilst we maintain Pitlandie, the woodlands and surroundings, there are natural hazards associated with being on the property. Responsibility for your wellbeing and that of your children and pets, lies with you.
We aim to keep our drive and access tracks clear at all times, but at rare times heavy snow and freak weather can make access difficult. Where there are travel disruptions as a result of bad weather, we cannot be held responsible for non-arrival.
You are limited to a maximum of SIX residents or non-residents in the Lodge and grounds at any time. Casual overnight guests are not permitted unless agreed in advance with the owner. We do not accept Hen or Stag parties.
We reserve the right to refuse admission to any or all guests for any reason.
All vehicles, bicycles and trailers and their contents are left at their owner’s risk. We will not be responsible for loss or damage. We do not permit camper vans or caravans.
