"From booking to departing, Sophia was so attentive to our needs. The lodge and surrounding woodland is a perfect location for those seeking sanctuary and luxury. We were instantly at home with the amenities and comfort. With such busy work life’s we welcomed this perfect place within just 10 min from great food shopping. Fabulous restaurants which accommodate dogs, we were truly spoilt! Can’t wait to return x"
"We arrived with many a plan to visit around the area..... but once we were in the lodge, we didn’t leave again until the end of our trip when we got in the car to go home!! We found the lodge and surroundings to be absolutely perfect. The most tranquil place ever..... will definitely be returning!"
This is an outstanding lodge set in the most beautiful surroundings.
"Where do I start? This is without doubt the best place I’ve ever stayed. The facilities are top notch! This lodge is simply gorgeous. The location is both very private yet close to commuter routes. The view from this lodge is to die for!! Our trip was all too short ( long weekend four days, three nights ) I wish our stay could have been longer. We only met Sophia during our stay. She is very friendly and personable, available should you need anything but also leaves you in peace to enjoy your stay. For me I enjoyed the fact that it’s such a private place, for those who prefer a bit of quiet and privacy you simply will not find ANYWHERE better so BOOK NOW !!"
Country living at it's best.
"If you are looking for a beautiful country lodge look no further. Excellent location on the edge of a private woodland. We were more than pleased with this find, you wanted for nothing and the owners (who live near by) were very welcoming. Local shops are a short drive away as are local amenities. The lodge benefits from central heating throughout but also has a wood burning stove, perfect for the cooler nights. There is also a steam room which after a days walking is an absolute bonus. Large sliding door onto a wooden decking, perfect for outdoor dining. Barbecue is available upon request. The lodge has been designed to accommodate those physically impaired with a wet room and everything on the one level. The master bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. A great find and we plan to return."
"Pitlandie wood lodge was vey easy to find by using their directions. Both my disabled husband and I had 6 wonderful days here very lucky to have 4 days of beautiful sunshine, out standing scenery from every window, beautiful woodland to go walks in, all maintained to a high standard. The Lodge is fully equipped for wheelchair access through out, very large wet room all well thought out for wheelchair users. Everything is high quality, very clean and well- maintained. We very much enjoyed the very comfortable beds, SKY TV with surround sound and the log burner. Sophia & Roderick are two beautiful people who are very welcoming and helpful, go out their way to make sure you have all that you need and are happy with the lodge. We both will definitely be back very soon!."
Fantastic lodge and great location
"This is a great lodge. We stayed here with the family in October 2017 and I read the other reviews prior to booking. The reviews are very accurate. The lodge is very well furnished and equipped. It’s far enough for peace and quiet and close enough to Perth for Pubs and restaurants. You do need a car. Sophia was a lovely host and made sure we were comfortable. She also gave great suggestions for days out. We spent a week here and went to Edinburgh (which is an hour away by car), Pitlochry, water rafting and walking. I would recommend highly and would come back again."
Perfection. Idyllic corner of Perthshire
"The whole experience of Moneydie was of exceptional standard. The location is amazing with a private lochan, woods and glorious views to the hills. The lodge is beautifully furnished and equipped and designed for comfort. We felt welcomed and made to feel at home as soon as we arrived - a wonderful break."
